Jagger Byte Games

This is the itch.io page for Retro Blasted Games, a tiny independent development studio (by tiny I mean this is really just one person, David Jagneaux) that focuses mostly on retro-style indie games and narrative-driven experiences. 

Completed small projects and prototypes:

• Gloomglow: Prologue, a game jam entry inspired by Castlevania that runs on real Game Boy hardware, in a web browser, or in an emulator.
• Moments, an interactive story created in Twine for a game jam. This short story won the 'Audience Choice' award in the jam.
• Dead Pixel, a simple Game Boy-inspired platformer game prototype that runs on PC created in Game Maker. You start out as a single pixel that must reclaim your full body.
• Tastes Like Home, a very short bite-sized interactive Twine story.

In-development projects:

• Legacy: Guardian Knight, an 8-bit and 16-bit inspired classic-style turn-based JRPG for PC and Mobile being built with RPG Maker MV.

• Preston's Quest, a Gameboy/Gameboy Color game being built with GB Studio. This is a love letter to classic platformers designed from the POV of and in collaboration with my five-year old son named Preston.

This page will be home to my prototypes (including very old ones), game demos, game jam entries, and eventually completed projects.
